Moving a piano is not an easy task, the size and weight makes it very difficult to move for the average person. They can be expensive and delicate which is why our experienced professional piano movers are trained to move even the largest and bulkiest piano with care and precision. Our piano movers fully disassemble and reassemble the piano by removing the legs, pedals, and anything else attached to the exterior.
To ensure its protection, we first wrap the piano with padded moving blankets and then plastic wrap. If extra protection is needed we create a custom crate using cardboard boxes. Milton and his crew were absolutely amazing!! First, Marathon was the only company to get back with me in a timely manner, when I first started researching. Second, the rate was very economical. When I called Milton with my never-ending questions, he was pleasant EVERY time. On the day of our move, they were there in the time frame they said. He and his crew were very hard-working and efficient. I honestly see why they are called Marathon. They moved at an extremely fast pace moving things from our storage to our home. They even moved a refrigerator from our house to the curb. This was the very best experience I have ever had with a moving company. I will not hesitate to use them again, if I need to. The guys at Marathon Moving Services were great from the time of contact to the end of the move! Milton cam out to look at the apartment and give us a quote, and was able to do so on the spot. The movers arrived on time and got right to work. Despite it being rainy and dreary, they worked hard and handled everything with care and professionalism. At the new place, they made sure that they were able to get all of our necessary furniture up a very narrow staircase. Needless to say I was impressed! They were reasonably priced, and I would recommend them to anyone who has moving needs!

We had marathon movers move some furniture that we bought from one location to our office. They were responsive prior to the move and easy to work with. The day of the move they showed up on time and called before they got there when they were on their way. They moved very large, heavy furniture without damaging anything (furniture or walls). Then when we got to our office space, they reassembled some desks for us and actually helped us move some furniture around. They were extra friendly, and they did excellent work in a timely manner. Loved working with Milton and his crew . Probably going to hire them to help me on a personal move. They didn’t disappoint. They went above and beyond. If you hire them, you won’t be disappointed.

Marathon Moving Services has excellent rates! Their staff is very friendly and very hard working. They make moving very low stress as they quickly loaded everything in to their truck, which had more then enough space for our 2 bedroom apartment. Very trustworthy, transparent, reliable, great communication, and awesome people to work with. They work hard, offer great pricing, show up on time, and respond outside of normal business hours. I recently moved from one apartment to another in Virginia Beach. I'm relatively new to Virginia, so I looked up moving companies in the area. I found that Marathon Movers was available and provided a very fair price. Milton (the owner) and Marquis arrived right on schedule and simply took over. They took special care of my belongings and the pickup and delivery was completed quickly and seamlessly. I was looking for a moving company and decided to go with marathon because I noticed some red flags with the other companies I searched. I called and didn’t get an answer at first but Milton called right back as soon as I left a voicemail which was great. The movers came at the time that was scheduled.
