How do I know if a moving company is legitimate?
According to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), a growing number of complaints have been filed against movers lately – many of which are due to the “fraudulent practices… of rogue movers.” Minimize the risk of moving-day delays, damages, inflated charges, or loss of possessions by hiring legal, certified movers. Our license numbers can be found on the footer of this page.
Do I need to empty my dresser drawers?
It depends. If there are any breakable items in the drawers we recommend removing those item. If there are just clothes and soft items in the drawers there is no need.
How much should I tip my movers?
Although our movers are trained to never ask or hint for tips from customers, they are allowed to accept tips should customers feel inclined for the hard work they received. In terms of what to tip the movers, we encourage customers to tip whatever they feel is necessary for the job that was completed.
Can I book my move entirely online?
Absolutely! Start by getting your free quote by calling us or if you are ready, then, proceed to picking out your desired moving date and time. Next, a booking agent will call you to confirm your move and time. Finally, a big shiny Marathon Moving truck will arrive at your location at your chosen time!

Will and Von were amazing. Very professional, and they move us out and in so swiftly. They were very polite and they both were able to get bulky items, my wife and I couldn't, up a flight a stairs easily. We called early on a Sunday morning, and they were at our house with in a couple hours. We highly recommend Marathon to anybody and everyone.

I recently had the pleasure of using Marathon Moving Services, and I can't recommend them enough. I reached out to them last minute, literally the day before my move. Although there was a slight hiccup with the booking--my original 8:30 AM slot was double-booked--Milton reached out to me around 6 PM to inform me. Despite the inconvenience, he assured me he could fit me in at 12:30 PM. This actually worked out for the better, and I'm grateful for his flexibility.Milton and his team were professional, efficient, and excellent communicators throughout the entire process. I had labeled my items ahead of time, and they followed these labels meticulously, making both the transporting and unpacking processes a breeze. They also went above and beyond by taking down my mounted TV, which I hadn't mentioned in advance.The team carefully loaded the truck with great care and precision. At no point did I feel my items were at risk, which included delicate items like a projector screen, TV, and several desks. Everything was executed flawlessly and within a reasonable amount of time.Their process was very efficient, starting with an online form where I could input details about my move. Milton then called me to go over the details, which made the entire planning process smooth and stress-free.Overall, Marathon Moving Services exceeded my expectations. I will definitely hire Milton and the team again for any future moves. Highly recommended!

***I paid half the quoted price***First off I was in a pinch with scheduling, everyone else in the area was booked out. Milton moved mountains and kept me updated on opening a window to get me in. When the day came, A 3 man crew showed up, Devonte (the team lead) as well as Shawn and Vic handled my move and these guys really made it a comfortable experience. They packed everything and loaded it on the truck and brought it to my new apartment, keeping me updated on everything going on.. Their professionalism and chemistry as a team is absolutely unmatched and in the end I paid half of what was quoted to me and the job took way less time than expected. Highly recommend this being your first pick for your move.

Man what can I say…. These guys are #1 in the game!!!! Over 20 years of military moving and I have always had to leave stuff behind. The team here stack and packed and got a 4 bedroom house into a truck like it was nothing. I still had room left over. I wish these guys had offices all over as they would be my goto from now own!!!! I had the pleasure of having Marathon Moving Services move my furniture from my 2600 sqft home into storage. The movers are very professional, and they came prepared. I gave them less than 24 hours' notice, and they were able to fit me in their schedule. They have a 26-foot truck that was filled to the rim. I have a 20-foot storage container, and the movers fit all my belongings neatly inside of it without damaging anything. Their skill sets are impeccable. They are definitely worth the cost. I need a washer moved like the next day. This young man was at my house before 8:30 the next day. He worked with me at the last minute. Took so much stress off of me. Also he let me add quite a few boxes to store with washer for my big move in a couple of months. He's professional, friendly just a nice young man. I know everyone will enjoy working with him. I loved Milt and his team!!They were hired to move my furniture to my new home as I thought I could get the "small stuff" in my SUV w/no problem as my new home was near by. Milt said we'll move anything you want and pack it for you. So the three man team got busy and moved everything!Bags of garden soil, planter boxes, plants, a cement sailboat you name it they packed it.They arrived on time at 9:30AM and we were at the new house and were finished unloading at 1:00!They were very professional and personable. We had a great time!They took very good care of my fine art pieces and all my treasures.I highly recommend Marathon Movers.
