About Us

Fantastic experience. The team was courteous, professional, and moved our appliances, furniture, and boxes without breaking anything which was a first for us based on past moves. I highly recommend Marathon!

The movers were awesome! Fast and efficient! The person on the phone who booked the appointment never told us about the 3% up charge is we use a card to pay. We would have got cash to avoid the extra fees if we had been told. The manager Milton called me personally later that day to apologize and they refunded the extra fees I was charged.. Absolutely Stellar customer service..

Curtis, Kenny and Jay were absolutely AMAZING & WONDERFUL! Truly cannot say how much we appreciated their HARD work and dedication to seeing our move be SUCCESSFUL!!! If you are looking for a the best movers in Tidewater, make Marathon Moving your choice. Our move was from Chesapeake to Richmond. My wife said what I wrote sounded like an advertisement, it isn’t. I genuinely wrote what we experienced!!! Blessings

These guys are top-notch. Quick scheduling, arrived on time, took care to protect my things, and made sure my POD unit was packed safely. Highly recommend!

Could not recommend Marathon moving more!! They were so careful with all of our furniture, while still incredibly efficient. And did it all with smiling faces! Will 100% use them again in the future. Thank you!!!

Milton, James, and Sean. Outstanding moving team, Professional gentlemen, And exemplary service. 10/10 Recommend. They came and got straight to Work and finished the job before I anticipated. I Will definitely use and recommend them in the future.

Marathon Moving Services did an amazing job with our move! James, Curtis, and Jay were absolutely fantastic and they truly know what they’re doing. I can’t thank them enough for making what could have been a very stressful day feel so much easier! They were professional, efficient, and took great care of everything! If we ever have to move again I will 100% use Marathon Moving again! I HIGHLY recommend them! Thank you again Marathon Moving Services! You guys were the best!!

Guys were fast, polite, and easy to work with! Hopefully we don’t have to move again but if we do, I’m calling them!

Punctual, professional, and positive! It was close to 100° that day, but all three members of the crew wrapped, transported, and moved my mother‘s belongings up to the fourth floor with a smile on their face and the patients of a saint. I highly highly recommend this moving company!

Excellent experience with Marathon Moving Services. From Jennifer in the office to crew leader Curtis, they got the job done in a timely manner with positive energy all the way around! Curtis even helped me put the living room rug and pad down. So grateful for his help with that! Thanks again to everyone!

The Movers did an excellent job!! Very courteous and professional. I highly recommend this company for any moving services

Awesome service provider! They were responsive, fluent communication, on time, did a great job and worth every cent.

Curtis led an amazing team. They started on time and got done almost perfectly on time with the original quote and handled everything with care. Could be happier start to finish with the estimate and execution for our local move.

Milton and his team did a great job. Worked very quickly and took great care. Moved my belongings into a third party moving truck that charges by the square foot, and they expertly used every square inch they could. Would use this company again.

All in all the crew did a good job moving my house especially since the day we moved on July 3 it was over 100° but I do have one bone to pick that I found out the night of my move. My king size bed frame was not tightened down all the way and now rocks. Each side of the frame has 3 nuts and three bolts only 2 nuts and bolts were attached on each side. One bolt doesn’t have a nut on the end of it. Now if there’s a problem with missing parts, don’t you think that they should come to the owner and say hey look here’s the deal… nothing was said to me. I just don’t understand how you can just leave a bedframe like that especially since I’m 70 years old and live by myself and I don’t have anybody else that can help me tighten it down properly. UPDATE: soon after I posted this review Milton called me from Marathon and insisted on making it right so he came right out that day and took care of tightening down the headboard. Thanks Milton. Great job.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an outstanding experience with Marathon Moving Company! Milton and James were absolutely amazing from start to finish. They were professional, friendly, efficient, and handled all of my belongings with great care. They worked quickly without ever sacrificing quality, and their positive attitudes made what is usually a stressful moving day so much easier. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was placed exactly where I wanted it, and they treated my furniture and boxes as if they were their own. Their teamwork and attention to detail were truly impressive. If you’re looking for movers who are reliable, hardworking, and genuinely care about their customers, I highly recommend Marathon Moving Company. A huge thank you to Milton and James for making my move such a smooth and pleasant experience. You both deserve five stars!

Jay, James, and Kenny were very professional

Top notch moving company with friendly, helpful employees. Highly recommended!

Very professional and the crew went above and beyond to make the move as smooth as possible. I would use the again.

Curtis, Kenny, Jay and James were absolutely amazing. I had one day to move from Virginia Beach (3 bedroom House ) to an apartment in Newport news. down sizing. then to storage in under 6 hours and they packed up my house!!!

This was one of the most flawless moves we have ever experienced. The movers were professional, helpful and made sure to take care of our stuff but even more importantly they made sure to take care of us. They checked in on us and it was evident they care about the people. They were very quick and efficient but they were careful and did not rush. We will definitely use them again.

This is my third or fourth time using Marathon. They've been great every time. Highly recommend
